Seeking Something, Finding That, Preaching This....

Ok so lately a lot of people around me have been discussing religion. I admit I am not very religious. I do not really practice any thing on a regular basis, but the closest I have found to what I believe is Wicca. I do not believe one religion is right and one is wrong. I believe what works for you, is the best for you. Be happy with yourself, and tolerant of those around you. Treat people the way you want to be treated. What you believe in, should make you happy. It should not make everyone else sad. No one has the right to put down any one else's beliefs.

People try so hard to "find faith", I do not believe that faith should be that hard to find. If you are having that hard of a time finding it, maybe you are looking in the wrong places.
Everyone has faith, you just have to find the place where you can use it. I have faith in my friends and family. I have faith in myself. I have faith that bad things will happen, but I also have faith that the good things will out weight them. I have faith that there is a higher power(s), I do not believe this higher power is judging every move I make. I have faith that if I live my life in a way that helps people and I have fun while I am doing it my life will have meant something.
I also have faith that this will not be the Red Sox's last World Series, or the Patriot's last Super Bowl, also that some day the Celtics will again be a basketball team worth talking about.

Gotta have Faith.

Back Tracking

Well on January 31, I turned 33. I think I will stop here. I like the way 33 looks. Don't get me wrong I will still have birthdays. I love birthdays. Any day that is all about me is good. Cake, gifts, more gifts, more cake, ice cream, yep I love birthdays.
This years birthday was super fun. I went to Foxwoods with my husband, best friend, and a brother-in-law. Guess what, I WON!!!! I hit a jackpot on a slot machine for $1125!!! After the trip was over and done with I was up $700. I had a blast. I broke even playing blackjack, and won $100 on a five dollar bet on the spinny wheel game thing. I can see why people get addicted to gambling.
I also got a new tattoo, #5. This one means a lot to me. While out to lunch I jokingly asked my Mom what I should get. She said "Mom" in a heart on my shoulder. I decided that was a good idea. So on the day my mom gave birth to me I got her name in a beautiful filigree heart on my shoulder. A tribute to the strongest woman I know, and zing to the Mom who started out hating tattoos, but has grown to accept them and is even thinking of getting one.

Happy Valentine's Day

I love Valentine's Day.
Even when I did not have a Valentine I loved it. Why? Because I knew I would get chocolate, gotta love Moms. Then on the 15th all those left over chocolate boxes go on sale for 50% off. Lots of chocolate. Which when you don't have a Valentine you eat to make yourself feel better about being alone. Which works until you look down at all those little empty chocolate wrappers, and realize you just ate a bazillion calories worth of chocolate. Ahhhh the ups and downs of chocolate.
Well this Valentines Day will be special I tell you. Just me, my husband, and the 50 trillion germs that have invaded my body. How sexy am I in my jammies, carrying around a box of tissues, red nosed, dizzy, and coughing a lung up every 15 minutes? You know you wanna come get some of this baby!!!!
